JUNE Introduction & Foundations Familiarization with equipment, safety rules, basic grip (shakehand), stance, and ready position. Fun games to develop hand-eye coordination.
JULY The Forehand Drive Mastering the basic forehand drive. Focus on technique: stance, backswing, contact, and follow-through. Consistency drills.
AUGUST The Backhand Drive Learning and practicing the backhand drive. Drills for backhand-to-backhand rallies. Introduction to combining forehand and backhand.
SEPTEMBER Serving & Basic Rules Introducing the legal service technique. Understanding scoring, rules of a game (singles), and umpire signals.
OCTOBER Introduction to Spin & Control Learning the push (backspin) for control and defense. Basic service return. Focus on keeping the ball low and short.
NOVEMBER Topspin & Footwork Introduction to the topspin drive/loop. Basic side-to-side footwork drills to move into position for forehand and backhand shots.
DECEMBER Doubles Play & Combination Understanding doubles rules, service order, and court positioning. Drills combining different shots (e.g., serve, push, drive).
JANUARY Advanced Skills Learning the smash (attack) and the block (defense). Introduction to different types of serves (sidespin, topspin).
FEBRUARY Match Play & Strategy Developing basic match strategy. Analyzing opponent's weaknesses. Practice matches focusing on point construction.
MARCH Tournament & Revision Review of all skills. Organization of an intra-class tournament. Focus on sportsmanship and applying learned skills in a competitive setting.
