Kho-Kho | Classes 6-10 | Duration: 45 Minutes | HIGH SKILL LEVEL
Pole Dive is one of the most effective and attractive skills developed for Kho-Kho attackers. An attacker is prevented by rules from crossing the central lane to the opposite court. Therefore, defenders often take shelter in the opposite court. However, pole dive allows an attacker to score by touching a defender in the opposite court without illegally crossing the central lane.
The attacker firmly holds the pole in the elbow joint of the hand opposite to the defender's court, positions the toe of the leg on the pole's side near the pole (without touching or crossing the central lane), and throws the body into the space of the opposite court (dive), stretching the free hand to touch the defender with the palm. Courage, proper footwork, and great skill are essential for effective pole dive attempts.
